Karen LaFleur's artwork consists of a multi-layered computer
drawing that incorporates traditional pencil sketches and painting, digital renderings, found object imagery, digital photography,
and typography. Each piece contains over 200 layers of blended imagery. The final work of art is then printed by the artist
on archival watercolor paper.

A micro-story written by the artist is often
embedded in the artwork. These petite, yet powerful stories, capture the struggle of the human heart to survive in an unpredictable
world. They fall into a genre called "Sudden Fiction"; a micro-story that contains less than 750 words, and highlights
a pivitol moment in life.
